IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
take the lead on finance and purchasing—but not from a corner office. You'll be right in the middle of things, working shoulder-to-shoulder with a team of smart, driven people. As primus inter pares, you'll guide by expertise, trust, and collaboration—not command and control. Every task you take on will thrive through cooperation, transparency, and shared ownership.

Your Impact

  • Co-lead our financial and purchasing operations, making sure systems and processes are lean, scalable, and aligned with our goals.
  • Be a strategic sparring partner to our CFO and executive team—bringing clarity to financial decisions and helping shape the future of the business.
  • Own the numbers together: from statutory financial statements and audits (Local GAAP, HGB) to consolidated group reporting, you'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to get it right.
  • Drive planning and forecasting with the team—budgeting, KPIs, and reporting that actually help people make better decisions.
  • Keep us compliant and sharp: accounting standards, internal controls, and financial governance are part of your toolkit.
  • Negotiate smart, build strong supplier relationships, and make sure our purchasing strategy supports both agility and sustainability.
  • Collaborate across teams to improve processes and contribute to value stream initiatives that make us faster, better, and more focused.
  • Build and grow a team that thrives - not just by hiring and reviewing, but by coaching, listening, and helping people unlock their potential.
  • Design efficient, scalable processes that meet legal, financial, and factual requirements—always with input from the people who use them.

Job Requirements
TO SUCCEED YOU NEED

  • A solid background in business, finance, or accounting—plus hands-on experience in fast-moving environments.
  • 5+ years in financial leadership, controlling, or senior business partnering, with proven team-building skills.
  • Deep knowledge of financial statements, reporting, and analysis—you know how to turn numbers into strategy.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management—you build trust and drive alignment across teams.
  • Experience leading financial projects and guiding cross-functional teams as a business partner.
  • Comfortable with tools like Excel and Power Automate, and always curious about smarter ways to work.
  • Fluent in German (C1) and confident in English (B2)—you navigate both languages with ease.
  • A collaborative mindset, proactive energy, and the ability to inspire others without relying on hierarchy.
  • Quick to learn, quick to adapt—especially in hybrid setups and dynamic team structures.

THERE WILL BE BIG SMILES IF YOU

  • Hold a recognized finance qualification (e.g. CPA, Controller Akademie).
  • Know your way around procurement or have worked closely with purchasing teams.
  • Have used AI to forecast or streamline workflows.
  • Think like an entrepreneur when solving problems.
