The company is headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany and has about employees in more than 100 locations worldwide.Job DescriptionDefine, standardize, and continuously optimize global structures, processes, tools, and methods in Strategic Cost Management across all Business Areas (BAs).Develop and implement an end-to-end Value & Cost Management approach from innovation phase to EOP, including methodology, templates, and system logic.Support the strategy development and roadmap planning of the Strategic Value Management (SVM) department.Monitor and analyze market and technology trends and derive recommendations to further enhance global cost management.Design and improve key costing and evaluation processes (e.g. quotation calculation, target definition, sourcing).Develop and harmonize a global evaluation and costing standard for production costs, including automated GAP analysis and tracking mechanisms.Develop and maintain a unified production cost/content library with relevant target KPIs for core technologies (e.g. SMD, Molding, Assembly) and generic products based on standardized evaluation approaches.Define basic calculation methodologies for production-related KPIs (e.g. cycle times, fixed costs, investment calculations) and for standard technologies.Establish a single source of truth for production-related base data with standardized parameters at plant level.Develop an operations catalogue for future product cost calculation to enable fast and reliable production concept planning.Support strategic and operational projects in Cost Targeting and Cost Reduction (Design-to-Cost, Cost Reduction Program, Re-DtC).Identify cost reduction potentials, derive cost targets, and support target achievement.Collaborate closely with Central Business Controlling, Target Costing, Purchasing and Operations to harmonize evaluation approaches.Conduct internal and external benchmarks and derive optimization measures; drive implementation across all BAs.Develop and execute a global footprint planning methodology in cooperation with BAs and Operations to optimize production setups.Lead international working groups, task forces, and interface projects over all hierarchical levelsEnsure global governance regarding evaluation standards, production costs, and operational KPIs.Align evaluation approaches at top management level and coordinate global target KPIs with BA TC, BA Operations, and Central OPS.Develop and conduct global training programs and workshops on production and cost-related topicsCreate internal/external publications and training materials.Development, roll-out and support execution of global Lean Cost Audits and promote a challenger mindset to strengthen continuous improvement.Develop and maintain tools for cost tracking and cost analysis in production environments.Performance-Review of production KPIs (availability, scrap, utilization, indirect structure, idle times) in close cooperation with central Operations and BA´s incl. target setting for future calculation basics.Ensure transparent and neutral target setting at project and plant level.Contribute to the development of global operations strategies to ensure long-term competitiveness.QualificationsMaster's degree in Production Engineering, Production Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.Leadership experience of international/interdisciplinary teams10+ years of relevant professional experience in Operations, preferably in metal, plastic and electrical engineering industries.Expertise in product and production costing, profitability analysis, and time studies.Proven success in implementing and leading cost optimization programs.Deep understanding of production parameters and cost drivers (te, tgb, balancing, utilization, scrap rates, lean principles).Experience in global governance and standardization of production and cost evaluation approaches.Strong analytical and conceptual skills, combined with strategic thinking and execution strength.Excellent communication and facilitation skills across all hierarchical levels.High willingness to travel internationally (>50%).Fluent in English; German skills are an advantage.Applications from severely handicapped people are welcome.Additional InformationReady to take your career to the next level?
