Job Title: Head of SG&A Controlling – Life Science (m/f/d)

 

Your role:
As the Head of SG&A Controlling for the Life Science Discovery Division, you will serve as the key strategic advisor and business partner for all SG&A-related matters. You will lead a centralized SG&A controlling team that delivers transparency, insights, and cost discipline, enabling effective business steering. Your responsibilities will include driving end-to-end SG&A planning, forecasting, monthly closing, reporting, and decision support. Collaborating closely with business and functional leaders, as well as adjacent finance teams, you will establish governance, standards, and best practices. You will harness digital reporting and advanced analytics to transform data into actionable insights. This role is pivotal in defining the SG&A controlling vision and operating model for the LS Discovery Division. You will oversee the divisional SG&A budget cycle and rolling forecasts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Additionally, you will conduct rigorous cost analysis to identify savings opportunities and operational improvements. Your leadership will foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within your international team of SG&A analysts.

 

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are advantageous.
  • Over 7 years of experience in FP&A/Controlling or related fields within a multinational environment, including experience in leading and developing teams.
  • Proven expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting, with strong proficiency in SAP, TM1, and Excel.
  • Self-driven leader with an outstanding analytical mindset and strong financial and business acumen.
  • Ability to recognize the financial implications of business decisions and strategies effectively.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Fluent in business English.
  • A commitment to fostering a collaborative and accountable team environmen
