Regional Transportation Manager, Logistics

The Regional On The Road Manager serves as the primary link between Amazon Logistics operations and Delivery Service Providers (DSPs). This role creates a collaborative "win-win" culture between Amazon operations and DSP partners at the station level.
As Regional OTR Manager, you will define the medium-term OTR strategy and lead both internal and external stakeholders to align Amazon Logistics processes with DSP goals. You will take ownership of OTR capacity planning and ramp plans, working with the Middle Europe capacity team and Business Coaches to help DSPs achieve their capacity targets. Your responsibilities include early risk identification and creating contingency plans for Peak periods and capacity shortages.
You will coordinate performance improvements across regions by collaborating with OTR Amazon Customer Excellence System, OTR Safety, and Community teams to implement best practices that prioritize the DSP experience. As the owner of Regional OTR Weekly Business Reviews (WBRs), you will serve as a trusted OTR Subject Matter Expert, helping site operations improve customer experience.
This role requires partnership with regional Business Coaches to support DSP growth within stations. You will proactively identify issues, remove obstacles, and help DSPs reach their full potential.

Key job responsibilities
- Safety: Work with OTR safety and site operations to deliver regional safety metrics and coordinate OTR Safety projects across the region.
- Performance: Lead OTR performance improvement across the region, provide Regional Leadership Team weekly visibility with paths to green, and deliver Regional Weekly Business Reviews for on-road performance (DSP scorecard/Ops Scorecard).
- Performance Improvement: Lead activities in key priority areas for the Region including quality and performance metrics.
- Experience Management: Create sustainable business practices that foster a 'win-win' culture between Operations and DSPs.
- DSP Advocacy: Serve as the voice of Delivery Service Providers within the operational region.
- Cost Optimization: Work with site operations, Amazon Customer Excellence System, and Central Operations to ensure routing efficiency and best practices are followed to improve Cost Per Package.
- Capacity Management: Own and execute regional resourcing plans while managing ramp up/down plans and regional network changes.
- Program Coordination: Coordinate OTR Amazon Customer Excellence System projects across the region.
- Leadership: Provide dotted-line leadership to the regional Area Manager Delivery Operations and Shift Manager Delivery Operations community while partnering with the Senior Regional Manager as a key stakeholder.
About the team
Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles 'last mile' delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilise creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the hands of our customers. Our goal is to make our customers' delivery experience as smooth as possible and roll out global delivery solutions for our newest concepts.
There are two sides to what we do. Our 'under the roof' associates process millions of products for dispatch to our delivery teams. Our team is people-focused and supportive, particularly as lots of our people work through the night. We focus mostly on operations, with 24/7 shifts in most of our locations.
Meanwhile, our 'on the road' people work with Amazon Flex - a network of delivery contractors. Every year, we continually raise the bar for customer experience with new, innovative delivery services. We look for new ways to overcome industry wide logistics challenges and new ideas to reduce our carbon footprint, supported by a portfolio of cutting-edge vehicles (including Electric Vehicles) and technology to help us do just that.
Basic Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent
- Experience with planning, performance metrics and process improvement
- Excellent communication skills in English and German, written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in logistics, transportation, or delivery operations
- Experience in managing projects and/or programs
- Strong analytical capability; track record of digging into data and finding solutions for a variety of operational problems
