In the Automotive Engineering Laboratory we are now looking for a:

Steering Systems Controls Expert - Leased Labor 18 months (m/f/d)

We are seeking a skilled candidate in feature development for steering systems and Steer-by-Wire (SbW) systems for human and Autonomous Driving Solution (ADS) features.

The ideal candidate will have deep understanding and interest in modeling of steering and SbW functions and features. Your role in a multidisciplinary team requires collaboration with our global research and development community. Your will be working on future trends of technologies, architectures, requirements in Intelligent Vehicle Dynamics.

Your mission 

• Develop control algorithms for SbW systems. Validate advanced control strategies using Model Predictive Control (MPC), PID controllers, or adaptive and robust control techniques.
• Identify and monitor future technologies trends in automotive and support product strategy. Provide deeper understanding of the state of EU's technology industry.

Your areas of expertise

• Master's or higher degree in Automotive Engineering Control Systems or a related field, with a focus on vehicle dynamics.
• Experience in developing control systems for steering systems and SbW systems.
• Deep understanding of steering principles, kinematics, and control theory.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink/Octave/C/C++/or related tools for modeling and simulation.
• Enthusiastic to work as part of our international team and fluent communication skills in English.
