About the Role

Are you ready for a challenge? We are seeking a
dedicated and collaborative Payroll Specialist
to join our large, global payroll team based in
Berlin
. Reporting to the
Payroll Team Lead for the DACH region
, you will manage
outsourced payroll processes
, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across various payroll activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for approximately
    10,000 employees
  • Ensure
    accurate and timely payments
    , including deductions and tax/social security submissions
  • Prepare and validate
    variable data
    for payroll submissions
  • Manage
    absences, vacation balances
    , and employee departures
  • Analyze payroll data and provide insights to other teams (e.g., Finance)
  • Maintain
    data integrity
    and manage payroll-related queries via the
    People Portal
  • Oversee payroll checklists for
    submission, approval, month-end
    , and
    quarter-end
    tasks
  • Participate in
    team meetings
    , internal training, and
    continuous learning
    initiatives
  • Stay current on
    payroll legislation
    and contribute to process improvements

Qualifications / Skills Required

  • Advanced training in
    payroll, accounting
    , or a related field
  • Several years of experience in
    payroll accounting
  • Strong
    analytical, organizational
    , and
    attention-to-detail
    skills
  • Effective communication skills to explain payroll statements, policies, and procedures
  • Team-oriented with strong
    collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in
    MS Excel
    or
    Google Sheets
  • Fluent in
    German
    and
    English
