The Role

The
Electrical Engineer
will play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering design outputs across multiple projects, ensuring alignment between engineering disciplines and construction teams. This role involves close collaboration with utilities, client representatives, and internal design teams, while also contributing to project delivery through technical design, studies, and document reviews.

This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to high-voltage EPC projects in a fast-paced, international environment, where quality, safety, and teamwork are central to success.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver electrical engineering design outputs for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with H&MV standards and client requirements.
  • Prepare layouts, electrical systems, and single line diagrams for HV substations and related infrastructure.
  • Conduct HV system studies including protection coordination, load flow, and fault level reports.
  • Collaborate with civil, structural, and BIM teams to ensure integrated multi-disciplinary delivery.
  • Act as a point of contact with
    utility providers and client engineers
    , supporting technical queries and approvals.
  • Manage design logs and design pack submissions, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Assist in drafting procurement specifications for HV equipment including transformers, switchgear, and protection/control systems.
  • Review supplier technical documents to ensure compliance with project and utility specifications.
  • Support coordination between design, procurement, commissioning, and construction teams.
  • Attend client and utility meetings as required, representing the engineering team and supporting project delivery.

Requirements

  • Honours Degree in Electrical Engineering (Level 8 or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within an HV contractor, EPC, or utility environment.
  • Proficient in relevant design software including
    ETAP, EPLAN, AutoCAD, Cymcap, Cableizer, and Autodesk tools
    .
  • Strong technical knowledge of HV/MV systems and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple project deliverables.
  • On-site or commissioning experience is desirable.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.
