A Day in the LifeThe position as a Senior Reimbursement Analyst (m/f/d) is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.
The purpose of the role is to support, develop and execute the Reimbursement and Health Economic strategies to secure reimbursement and funding for designated the diabetes therapies and to support establishment of these therapies as Standard of Care.

This role will cover key markets in EMEA region, with specific focus on Germany, Switzerland and Austria (FLUENT GERMAN SKILLS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE) and is a remote role. This means your home/remote location is the primary work location. There may however be requirements to attend a Medtronic location for meetings from time to time.

There is a facility-based immunization requirement for this position in Germany. Therefore, full Measles immunization is a requirement to fill the open position.

Only for Austrian Applicants: Yearly targeted salary starting from € 60.000,00 with the willingness to market-based overpayment depending on professional qualification and experience.

In this role you will carry out the responsibilities within the framework of contribution to multi-disciplinary teams including outcomes research, clinical research, regulatory affairs and marketing staff to support product development, launch, marketing, patient access acceleration, reimbursement and formulary acceptance.

• Deliver relevant data and tools to meet country Health Technology Assessment (HTA)/reimbursement/funding and access needs within the region.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to obtain reimbursement and provide support in HTAs and funding submissions within EMEA, with particular focus to but not limited to the DACH region.
• Execute health economic (HE) projects pre and post launch - including cost-effectiveness, budget impact, and cost-of-illness analyses to support market access strategies.
• Develop product value stories and identify the evidence needs specific for reimbursement and influence the regional / global clinical trial program to fill clinical data gaps.
• Analyse and communicate the relevant evidence effectively to target audiences within the region, including publication of research findings.
• Develop and deliver focused regional master files /value dossier for effective and timely use in countries.
• Support local countries with selected reimbursement /funding/ HTA submissions.
• In effective collaboration with regional, country & business unit partners, understand reimbursement/funding gaps/needs, and drive initiatives to deliver economic value of diabetes technologies.
• Provide therapy specific and general reimbursement/HE education and training to key internal and external audiences within region.
• Contribute as member of the international team, ensuring efficient use of data/tools and knowledge across the Region.
• Ensure high-quality in delivery and execution.
• Expected travel: 30% of regular working time, mainly within EMEA countries. Nevertheless, being part of the international team some travel outside of EMEA might be required.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Postgraduate degree in Economics, Health Economics or Life Science.
• Min 5 years' experience in Reimbursement, Health economics, HTA and funding applications in a healthcare environment at a medical device or pharmaceutical or biotechnology or a specialist R&HE in consulting company.
• Track record of developing and delivering reimbursement/market access strategy in Germany is a must.
• Experience with strategic value story development and in conducting outcomes research project.
• Good understanding of the application, development and value assessment of health economic modelling.
• Excellent oral and written communication in German and English.
• Strong project management skills.
• Strategic thinking and relationships building.

• Experience in Diabetes.
• Multiple languages.
• Ability to work across cultures and in a fast-paced environment.
