We are seeking to recruit a student for the Independent Price Verification (IPV) team. You will assist with enhancing the proprietary IT infrastructure of the daily IPV process. In addition, you will support the daily execution of the IPV process. In this role, you will report to the Head of IPV.

This internship is based in our Frankfurt office for a minimum of 6 months with the possibility of extension as a working student.

What you will do

• Support the development of IPV team's proprietary IT infrastructure, with a focus on designing and implementing Python based workflows in a SQL server environment
• Assist the IPV team with the execution of various daily tasks, mostly related to the valuation of financial instruments held by AllianzGI funds
• Ability to use Microsoft Copilot, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices
• Interact occasionally with internal parties having a stake in the daily valuation process of financial instruments (e.g. risk management, portfolio management, etc.).

What you bring

• Ongoing studies in the field of Computer Science, (Financial-) Mathematics, or comparable, with strong interest in new technologies
• Strong programming background in Python (Pandas is a prerequisite)
• Working experience with SQL
• Strong interest in finance
• High commitment, motivation and willingness to take on responsibility
• The ability to work independently as well as the ability to work flexibly in a team environment
• Very good team player with high motivation and positive work attitude
• Fluent in spoken and written English, near to or at negotiation level. German skills will be considered an advantage.
