For our new venture within the FUTRUE Group, we are immediately seeking a Lead Engineer – BCI Probe & Electrode Design (m/f/d) to develop the leading generation of brain-computer interfaces with us by 2030, redefining the boundaries of medicine.

You will lead the development of our implantable micro-electrodes – the core components of our brain-computer interface.
- Design and develop our implantable multi-channel reading and stimulation electrodes and advance them into clinical use.
- Optimize the geometry, structure, and layout of the electrodes to maximize the signal-to-noise ratio and ensure its long-term stability.
- Evaluate and select materials that ensure the safe and long-term implantation of the electrodes within the brain.
- Build your team of talented engineers with us to support you in the design and development of the electrodes.
- Coordinate the interfaces with our development partners and internal FUTRUE teams and manage the development timeline and budget.
- You are passionate about shaping the next major innovation in the health-tech sector in an environment with fast decision-making processes.
- You have a proven track record of leading complex development projects in the hardware-related field.
- You have a deep technical understanding of conductive materials, electrode design, fabrication processes, and µV-level signal processing.
- You have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology, Neuroscience, or a comparable field.
- You have a strong drive, the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new subject areas and can communicate complex issues concisely.
- You are business-fluent in English or German (min. C1).
