Strategic Planning Manager/Analyst

Role Description:

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of long-term strategic plans by analyzing business performance, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and financial modeling to support strategic initiatives.
• Work closely with senior leadership to define strategic objectives and align them with the company's vision and goals.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the success of strategic initiatives and track progress toward business goals.
• Prepare and present strategic plans, business cases, and financial forecasts to key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement strategies, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
• Identify and analyze potential risks and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations to mitigate or capitalize on them.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices to identify new business opportunities or areas for improvement.
• Support budget planning and resource allocation to ensure that strategic initiatives are adequately funded and resourced.
• Assist in post-strategy execution by analyzing results and making adjustments to improve outcomes.
• Prepare regular reports on the progress of strategic initiatives and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure buy-in and collaboration on strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA is a plus).
• 3+ years of experience in strategic planning, business analysis, management consulting, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, financial modeling, and market research.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Google Analytics).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts and insights to senior executives and cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically about business challenges and opportunities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial forecasting and reporting.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and other departments to drive strategy execution.
• Knowledge of business strategy frameworks (e.g., SWOT analysis, Porter's Five Forces, BCG Matrix) is a plus.

Preferred (but not required):

• Experience in a specific industry (e.g., technology, healthcare, manufacturing) that aligns with the organization's business model.
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira) and agile methodologies.
• Exposure to financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Experience in change management or business transformation initiatives.
