As the bank expands its European footprint, we are seeking a
Vice President of Regulatory Affairs
to lead the oversight and strategic direction of all regulatory, risk, and governance functions.

Role Overview

The
VP Regulatory Affairs
will act as the key point of contact with German and EU regulators, ensuring the bank's full compliance with existing and upcoming digital asset regulations — particularly
MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation)
.

This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for the
Risk, Compliance, Finance, and CISO
departments, ensuring cohesive governance, regulatory alignment, and a strong internal control environment across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Strategy & Oversight:

  • Lead the bank's regulatory strategy in alignment with ECB, and EU-level requirements.
  • Drive readiness and compliance with MiCA and related digital asset frameworks.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities and industry associations.

Governance & Risk Management:

  • Oversee enterprise risk, compliance, finance, and information security functions.
  • Ensure effective internal controls, governance frameworks, and risk reporting mechanisms are in place.
  • Work closely with the Board and senior management on regulatory implications of strategic initiatives.

Compliance Leadership:

  • Maintain and enhance the compliance monitoring and reporting framework.
  • Oversee AML/KYC policies, data protection standards, and financial crime prevention programs.
  • Support licensing processes, audits, and regulatory submissions.

Strategic Advisory:

  • Provide executive-level insights on evolving EU crypto-asset regulations.
  • Advise the Board on regulatory developments and their operational impact.
  • Drive alignment between product innovation and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in
    banking, fintech, or digital assets
    , with deep expertise in
    EU and German financial regulation
    .
  • Proven understanding of
    MiCA
  • Demonstrated experience liaising with German & European regulators.
  • Strong leadership track record overseeing multidisciplinary teams (risk, compliance, finance, security).
  • Fluency in
    English
    &
    German
