What we're looking for

We are hiring a Technical Lead Special Projects to manage and execute cross-functional operational and technical initiatives across the company. This is a hands-on, dynamic role responsible for taking ownership and driving projects that sit at the intersection of engineering and operations, from custom technical solutions for customers to one-off development efforts that support field deployment and production readiness.

The role bridges operations, engineering, and external partners, ensuring technically sound execution of projects that fall outside standard R&D or production scopes. You will work closely with internal stakeholders (Operations, R&D, Supply Chain) and manage external suppliers, fabricators, and integrators to deliver high-quality results on time.

The day-to-day

• Lead and coordinate technical special projects across Operations from concept to delivery.
• Translate operational and commercial needs into technical requirements and project plans.
• Oversee the design, development, and delivery of custom hardware or system adaptations that support customer deployments, integration work, or internal initiatives.
• Manage small-scale development or modification projects, including white-labelling or customization of UAV platforms and support equipment.
• Plan project scope, timelines, and budgets, and track execution with clear milestones and deliverables.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams to ensure feasibility, testing, and validation of technical solutions.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, ensuring quality and timely execution.

You should apply if you

• Are an engineer or technical project manager with 4+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing, or product development environments.
• Have a strong technical background and can translate high-level needs into practical technical solutions.
• Have demonstrated ownership in project setup, execution, and coordination across multiple stakeholders (internal and external).
• Can manage technical suppliers, vendors, and contractors, from scoping to delivery.
• Are comfortable working on engineering-related operational projects, bridging design, production, and deployment contexts.
• Have strong organizational and communication skills to keep projects aligned and moving.
• Are a problem-solver with a hands-on mindset and high level of ownership, able to bridge technical and operational domains.
• Eligible to obtain NATO or EU security clearance.

Nice to haves

• Experience with UAV systems, field operations of defense or robotics projects.
• Background in mechanical, systems integration, or hardware project management.
• Familiarity with CAD tools, supplier management, and prototyping workflows.
• Experience collaborating with contract manufacturers or engineering service providers.
