We are seeking a strategic, delivery-focused professional to lead our Innovation Unit's digital portfolio, driving data-enabled initiatives that shape the future of therapeutic discovery. This role offers the opportunity to guide a diverse portfolio of IT and digital projects that accelerate both clinical and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
:
- Provide strategic oversight and governance for the Innovation Unit's IT and digital initiatives.
- Ensure alignment between scientific use cases and business priorities, delivering measurable value.
- Facilitate portfolio reviews, business case development, and cross-functional strategic planning.
- Oversee resource allocation, budgeting, and capability deployment to support initiative success.
- Communicate portfolio progress, insights, and outcomes clearly across stakeholders and internal platforms.
- Develop and refine KPIs to monitor portfolio performance, health, and impact.
- Identify gaps, opportunities, and emerging trends to inform long-term digital strategy.
Requirements:
- PhD (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Several years' experience in pharmaceutical R&D or life sciences, ideally in digital or data-driven roles.
- Proven experience in strategic consulting and working in multifunctional, matrixed teams.
- Strong leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, and guiding cross-functional teams.
- Deep understanding of digital technologies and their applications in R&D.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Fluent English; experience in international, intercultural environments is highly valued.
- Strong business acumen in pharma R&D settings.
