Laboratory Supervisor

Under supervision, the Laboratory Supervisor (m/w/d) provides oversight for the day to day operations of the Rosenheim lab and staff assigned. The supervisor will assist in scheduling, assigning and coordinating workflow to assure proper utilization, training, coaching and development of staff.

May operate as a working supervisor, performing lab tests and recording of test results.

Responsible for the implementation or the Local Process Requirements.

• Supervises the day-to-day delivery of high-quality testing services.
• Monitors the daily productivity and quality of work, allocates resources as required and troubleshoot/escalate problems as necessary.
• Schedules, assigns, reviews and coordinates workflow to assure proper utilization and training of lab staff, ensuring all work is in accordance with regulatory and organizational policy, accreditation/compliance requirements.
• Provides input into the annual budgetary goals, capital expenditure budget for lab equipment and tactical plans for assigned lab team.
• Contributes to preparing instructions for test methods, procedures, quality control and maintenance procedures.
• Examines test samples, test performance and provides input regarding issues and/or problems with test/data sheets.
• Operates machines and lab equipment, may perform routine maintenance of designated test equipment and laboratory area.
• Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
• Under supervision, manages the performance of direct reports by defining accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing feedback and guidance, assist in hiring and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.
• Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.

• Other duties as directed.

• Higher secondary education (equivalent to HS Diploma)Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Speaks credibly in area of own expertise.
