With new technologies and our close partnership with rehabilitation clinics, patients get access to the most effective digital rehabilitation with concurrent personal care - independent of time and location.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer (all genders) with excellent skills in React Native and experience in coaching and leading a team to join our team in Berlin or remotely from any other place in Germany.

You should be excited in tackling challenging problems, willing to take responsibility and love working in and with a powerful team. You will be responsible for developing intuitive and easy-to-use frontend applications for our users and directly interact with our Product Team, R&D, Customer Success Management and others to deliver a great user experience and product.

Your Challenges

• You will lead an engineering team of 3 using Scrum, ensuring the team collaborates effectively to achieve our goals, while of course also coding yourself
• You will take responsibility for the technical direction of the Caspar Health applications from day one, driving the ongoing development of our product.
• You will lead and develop a team that creates intuitive and user-friendly frontend and mobile applications for our users.
• You will use your expertise to continuously improve development and design processes, enhancing both quality and efficiency.
• You will collaborate closely with our design and product teams, R&D, Customer Success Management (CSM), and Caspar Clinic to develop innovative solutions.
• You will support the development of team members and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• You will be a driving force in introducing new technologies and best practices in mobile development.

Your profile

• You have extensive experience with React Native (RN) and have previously led or mentored teams in this area.
• You have several years of experience in mobile and web/frontend development
• You are an expert in JS frameworks like React or Angular and have experience architecting applications at a team level.
• You have a strong interest in backend technologies such as , TypeScript, and/or Ruby on Rails, and you can effectively share this knowledge with your team.
• You have experience with end-to-end testing frameworks like Cypress and guide the team in implementing best practices for test coverage.
• You have a deep understanding of state management frameworks like RxJS or Redux, and you help your team use them efficiently.
• You have a good grasp of CSS and UI design, and you lead your team in creating high-quality user interfaces.
• You set high standards for code quality, performance, and user experience, ensuring that your team adheres to these standards in their day-to-day work.
• You stay up to date with the latest technologies and help your team successfully integrate new tools and technologies.
• You are able to analyze customer requirements and quickly develop solutions that provide significant value.
• Ideally, you have experience working with design systems such as Material UI or similar libraries and guide your team in their implementation.
