Supplier Quality Engineer

Your tasks

  • Conduct supplier audits according to VDA 6.3, including planning, execution, and follow-up
  • Analyze and resolve supplier-related quality issues, including deviations, complaints, and escalation processes (on-site when necessary)
  • Assess and monitor supplier performance and prepare regular evaluation reports
  • Support strategic supplier selection by providing quality assessments of potential partners
  • Collaborate closely with purchasing, engineering, and quality teams to ensure compliance with standards
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support suppliers in implementing corrective actions
  • Prepare and maintain audit documentation, quality metrics, and compliance reports
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality strategies and guidelines
  • Participate in projects involving new technologies (e.g., e-mobility, software integration)

Your profile

  • Degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering, manufacturing, or a related field
  • Several years of professional experience in supplier quality, ideally within the automotive industry
  • Strong knowledge of quality management methods and automotive core tools
  • Proven experience in conducting process audits (VDA 6.3 certificate is a plus)
  • Fluent English (written and spoken); German is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally

  • Technical understanding of one or more of these fields:

  • Battery-electric powertrain functionality and thermal management.

  • Interior and exterior components and their manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, assembly).
  • Chassis systems and components, including casting, forging, machining.
  • BIW (Body-in-White) structures and joining processes (e.g., welding, bonding).

  • Modern vehicle software and hardware architectures.

  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and excellent communication skills

The HOLON urban is a fully electric and autonomous vehicle for use on public roads. It is one of the world's first movers to meet automotive standards – leading the way in safety, ride comfort and production quality. The vehicle operates at a top speed of 60 kilometers / 37 miles per hour and can accommodate up to 15 passengers.

The HOLON urban is barrier-free and offers an automated ramp, a secured wheelchair space and auditory and visual support for passengers. In addition to conventional scheduled services, the mover is to be used as an on-demand means of transport in order to meet the mobility needs of users.
