Senior Data Scientist
Do you love using data, experimentation, and machine learning to shape products used by millions? As a Senior Data Scientist, you'll own the models, insights, and analytical frameworks that fuel a global consumer platform relied upon every day. Your work will turn complex data into intelligent, scalable solutions that directly influence how users discover, engage, and convert.
What You'll Do:
Build Impactful Models:
Design, train, and deploy machine learning models that improve search, ranking, pricing, personalisation, and other core product experiences.
Drive Data-Driven Decisions:
Run experiments, define success metrics, and partner with product teams to ensure decisions are guided by rigorous statistical understanding.
Lead Experimentation Strategies:
Shape how the organisation approaches testing — from hypothesis design to evaluation — ensuring reliable, interpretable outcomes at scale.
Collaborate Across Domains:
Work closely with engineering, analytics, and product to bring ideas from prototype to production, ensuring solutions are technically sound and aligned with business goals.
Champion Scientific Excellence:
Introduce best practices, improve internal methodologies, and help elevate the quality, consistency, and impact of data science across the organisation.
The Team:
You'll join a collaborative, product-focused data organisation that partners closely with engineering and product teams across multiple domains. The group values curiosity, ownership, and a high scientific bar. Here, data science isn't a back-office function — it's a core driver of how the platform evolves and how users experience it.
What They're Looking For:
5+ years of experience as a data scientist or applied ML practitioner
Strong background in machine learning, experimentation, and statistical modelling
Proficiency in Python and experience with modern DS/ML libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, XGBoost)
Experience working end-to-end: from exploration to modelling to productionisation
Strong SQL skills and comfort analysing large datasets
Ability to translate ambiguous product questions into clear, measurable analytical work
Bonus: Experience with recommendation systems, search/ranking, pricing, or marketplace dynamics
