Are you a dynamic Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineer with experience in automation, drives or motion control and a flair for commercial success? We're looking for an Inside Sales Engineer who is ready to drive sales growth in a pivotal role within our Nuremberg-based team.
Role Overview
As an Inside Sales Engineer for the number one global manufacturer of high precision motion control systems and laser technologies, you will drive business growth by managing technical customer inquiries, developing solutions, creating tailored proposals and supporting both new customer acquisition and account expansion efforts. Your success will be measured by your ability to convert inquiries into qualified leads and sales opportunities through developing solutions, supporting the field team and maintaining customer engagement through proactive communication.
Key Objectives
- Respond to 100% of incoming customer inquiries immediately if possible or within 24 hours
- Convert at least 30% of inbound inquiries into qualified sales opportunities each quarter
- Create and follow up on 100% of standard proposals within 3 business days of request and for all others within 7 business days
- Systematically acquire 5 new qualified customer leads per month
- Maintain 100% accuracy of customer records in the CRM system
- Achieve a new business win rate of at least 10% and a project win rate of 30% with existing customers by end of each fiscal year
- Represent the company at 3 industry trade shows annually and actively support at least 2 major conference events
Likely Education, Technical Background & Skills
- Bachelor's degree or significant vocational training in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with motion control systems, automation, or high-precision technology.
- Strong technical aptitude to understand customer needs and recommend solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in both German and English.
- High degree of initiative, self-organisation, and goal orientation.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Competence in Google Workspace or MS Office Suite and presentation tools.
