The ADI Trinamic Solutions Group is seeking a Product Applications Engineer (Robotics, Motor & Motion Control) to strengthen our HW & Applications Team in Hamburg, Germany. The team is developing motor and motion control solutions and evaluating these in robotics, industrial, medical, and consumer applications. The Applications Engineer will support assigned IC, system products, and reference designs through the full product lifecycle from proof of concept to early evaluation and pre-release road testing, to product release and customer support.

We are looking for a keen engineering mindset with the ability to understand the technical challenges of our customers and to provide fitting solutions. The Applications Engineer works closely with the Business Managers, Product Definers, Product Development, as well as the customers and field teams.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Work closely with product definers, design engineers, business management and customers throughout the product lifecycle
• Conduct pre-release road testing
• Ensuring proper documentation for the data sheets and application notes to assist customers and field teams
• Develop and validate user tools to simplify design-in and support of the motion and motor control products and provide training on it
• Provide technical support to key customers and field applications engineers

Minimum qualifications:

• MS in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Automation Technology or a related field
• Solid understanding of analog, digital and mixed signal electronics fundamentals
• Basic PCB design experience with schematic capture, able to create and read schematic designs
• Programming skills in C/C++ and/or Python
• Hands-on experience with common electronics lab equipment

Preferred qualifications:

• Attention to detail
• Interest in electrical drive technology, control theory, motion control, or robotics
• Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Du unterstützt die Entwicklung von Motor und Motion Control Lösungen und prüfst und testest diese in unterschiedlichsten Anwendungen aus Bereichen der Industrie, Robotik, Medizintechnik und dem Konsumerbereich. Als Applikationsingenieur unterstützt du unsere Chip-Produkte, unsere System-Produkte, sowie Referenzdesigns durch den kompletten Produktlebenszyklus hinweg von der ersten Idee, über einen Proof-of-Concept, durch die Entwicklungsphase, bis hin zum Kundensupport.

Wir suchen nach einem neugierigen und innovativen Engineering-Mindset mit der Fähigkeit, die technischen Herausforderungen der Kunden zu verstehen und dafür geeignete Lösungen zu finden. Als Applikationsingenieur arbeitest du eng mit den Business Managern, den Produkt-Architekten, den Entwicklungsingenieuren als auch den Kunden und unseren Feld-Teams zusammen.

Die Verantwortlichkeiten beinhalten unter anderem:

• Durchführung von internen Road Test / Applikationstests zukünftiger Produkte vor dem Release
• Unterstützung und Sicherstellung der Güte der Datenblätter und Application Notes für unsere Lösungen und Produkte
• Entwicklung und Validierung von Anwendertools, um das Design-In und die Inbetriebnahme unserer Produkte durch den Kunden zu vereinfachen und das Trainieren von Kunden und unseren Feld-Teams
• Technischer Support für Key Customers und unsere Feld-Teams

Erforderliche Qualifikationen:

• Master in Mechatronik, Elektrotechnik, Robotik, Automatisierungstechnik oder einem verwandten Gebiet.
• Solides Verständnis von analoger, digitaler, und Mixed-Signal Schaltungstechnik
• Grundlegende Kenntnisse und Erfahrungen im Design von PCBs/Leiterkarten und die Fähigkeit, Schaltpläne zu erzeugen und zu lesen.
• Programmierung in C/C++ und/oder Python
• Praktische Erfahrung mit typischen Laborgeräten und Messinstrumenten im Bereich der Elektrotechnik/Elektronik

Von Vorteil:

• Interesse und Erfahrungen in Elektrischer Antriebstechnik, Regelungstechnik, Motion Control und Robotik
• Selbstständige Arbeitsweise als auch die Fähigkeit in (über-regionalen) Teams zu arbeiten
