Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled
Grid Connection Manager
to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible to support the electrical design, grid integration, and simulation studies for onshore and offshore wind projects. This role involves ensuring compliance with grid codes, performing power system studies, and optimizing grid connection strategies related to Grid Connection required anywhere in the EMEA region for onshore and offshore wind projects. The Grid Connection Manager will work in conjunction with other MYSE technical support team members and the technical departments of the parent company, to ensure a successful connection to the grid of the different windfarm projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead grid connection studies and ensure compliance with regional grid codes and regulatory requirements.
• Perform power system analysis, including load flow, short circuit, dynamic, and transient stability studies.
• Utilize simulation tools (e.g., PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, EMTDC, ETAP) to assess grid integration performance.
• Develop and optimize onshore and offshore wind farm electrical layouts, considering cable sizing, losses, and reactive power compensation.
• Work closely with transmission system operators (TSOs), regulatory bodies, and project stakeholders to secure grid connection agreements.
• Evaluate the impact of onshore and offshore wind farms on existing grid infrastructure and propose mitigation measures.
• Support HVDC and HVAC system design, including interconnection studies and offshore substations.
• Provide technical input on grid compliance testing, power quality assessments, and fault ride-through capabilities.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including electrical and turbine engineers, to ensure seamless integration.
• Support technical due diligence, feasibility studies, and tender processes for onshore and offshore wind projects.
• Represent the company in front of the customer representatives for grid connection topics.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in onshore and offshore wind grid connection and power system studies.
• Strong knowledge of grid codes, transmission networks, and interconnection processes.
• Proficiency in power system simulation tools (e.g., PSS/E, PowerFactory, PSCAD, ETAP, DigSILENT).
• Experience with offshore wind farm electrical design, including HVDC/HVAC transmission systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
