Energy Trading Consultant

JOB DESCRIPTION

Project scope:

Develop custom valuation suite and enable it to support new products, including:

  • OTC Options and VPPs

  • Gas Swings

Ensure a robust daily valuation process, validated the results, and deliver comprehensive data for reporting.

Requirements:

6+ Years of experience in handling ETRM - energy trading and risk management applications

5+ years of experience in Python with FastApi, FastStream, and computation libs., SQL and Snowflake.

Good working experience of CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes & Docker, Kafka, Git

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Proficiency in using business analysis software and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:


• Work with development teams and tech Architects and PMs to ideate software solutions


• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.


• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code.


• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.


• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with the team.


• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency


• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.


• Write technical documentation
