As we enter our next stage of growth, we are looking for an exceptional Chief of Staff to join our Strategy & Org team, working directly with our Head of Strategy Tine von Villiez and closely alongside our founder & CEO, Martin Kassing.
As Chief of Staff, you will be at the core of Upvest's strategic engine - driving clarity, alignment and focus across the organisation. You'll partner with leadership to shape strategy, translate it into action, and ensure the business operates effectively at scale:
Own our organisational strategy as a key enabler for growth and focus
With over 270 talented professionals on our team and continued growth in product, markets, and client reach, it's essential to maintain a sharp focus, make strategic decisions, and set clear priorities. You will be the driving force in the development and execution of our organisational strategy. You will own the OKR process, link our OKRs with core business KPIs, and collaborate across teams to ensure cohesive decision-making and strategic prioritisation.
You will liaise with our executive and senior management team, become a trusted partner and organise regular offsites and team meetings. Via your leadership and stakeholder management, Upvest is an effective and efficient organisation. Additionally, you'll play a central role in shaping and delivering our internal communications strategy including leading our company all-hands.

Upvest's Investment API is redefining how Europe invests. As we scale, maintaining strategic focus is essential. You will play a vital part in shaping and executing our strategy - from initial conceptualization to prioritisation, execution and communication of key initiatives. You will manage large, cross-functional projects and support the development of new growth opportunities such as international expansion and uncovering new business opportunities.
You will also play a key role in our investor relations - working closely with the CEO on our fundraising efforts and regular board meetings.
Act as a cultural ambassador and cross-functional connector
As Chief of Staff, you will champion Upvest's culture and values. You enjoy taking your colleagues on to the ride - engaging them in our all-hands presentations, shaping our internal communications and collaborating cross-functionally to drive outcomes. You enjoy the wide exposure across our business, contributing to high-impact projects alongside senior leadership.
What you bring:Experience: You have 3+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, private equity, or high-growth scale-ups, with exposure to strategic, commercial, and operational challenges
Industry exposure: You are passionate for investments, securities trading, or SaaS/infrastructure business models (e.g., BaaS)
Stakeholder management: You showcase exceptional leadership and communications skills, effectively engaging internal and external stakeholders to drive change
Project management: You proactively drive complex projects to successful outcomes while making execution efficient and straightforward for others
Operational & business acumen: You are comfortable with financial data (budget), governance processes (OKR/KPI), and scalable organisational design
Mindset: You thrive in ambiguity, act with ownership and enthusiastically take the initiative to drive improvements. You are eager to learn, highly productive and solve problems with a bias to action and attention to detail
Location: Preference for candidates located in Berlin, fluent in English and German (written and verbal)
