Your Role

As a Safety & Reliability Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring that systems meet demanding safety and reliability objectives. You will carry out analytical tasks, prepare concise technical documentation, and support the integration of safety requirements throughout the development process. Working in close coordination with senior engineers and project partners, you will help translate complex technical data into clear, compliant results.

This position is suited for engineers with a sharp analytical mindset, structured reasoning, and strong communication skills - individuals who enjoy taking responsibility within a collaborative, internationally oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct system and component analyses (FHA, PSSA, SSA, FMEA, FTA, CCA)

· Prepare structured safety and reliability reports supporting design and certification

· Participate in internal and external design and safety reviews

· Collaborate closely with system, hardware, and software engineering teams to ensure data consistency and traceability

· Present analytical results clearly, concisely, and in a well-documented form

· Contribute to the ongoing refinement of analytical methods, tools, and workflows

Required Qualifications

· Master's Degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Systems, or Mechanical Engineering

· At least 3 years of experience in RAMS Engineering or related disciplines

· Strong interest in aerospace and flight operations

· Working knowledge of ARP4754A and ARP4761

· Basic understanding of reliability standards and related data sources such as MIL-HDBK-217F, MIL-STD-882E, NSWC-06, NPRD-2023, EPRD-2014, and FMD-2016

· Hands-on experience with selected certification and airworthiness standards (e.g. SC-VTOL, CS-23/25/27/29, FAA Part 23/25/27/29)

· Strong analytical and writing skills with structured reasoning

· Proficient in English and German (written & spoken)

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including confident interaction with customers and multidisciplinary teams

· Legally eligible and willing to travel within and outside Europe, including occasional on-site project assignments of up to six weeks

Preferred Qualifications

· Exposure to model-based or digital safety and reliability processes

· Experience with commercial safety & reliability software such as Isograph Reliability Workbench (FaultTree+) or ReliaSoft tools, etc.
