SENIOR SALES MANAGER

An exciting opportunity in an global food and beverage industry with a broad portfolio of Cocoa ingredients.

Location: Manheim, Germany

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to drive growth in Germany and Austria.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while managing existing key accounts.
  • Lead contract negotiations and ensure alignment with company objectives and client needs.Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity to refine sales tactics.
  • Collaborate with Product Line Management, Marketing, and Technical teams on product positioning and innovation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service through tailored cocoa solutions and regular business reviews.
  • Mentor junior sales staff and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Represent the company at industry events and maintain a strong external presence.
  • Track sales performance and deliver regular reports to senior management.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning for the region.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree or Master in Business / Sales / Marketing / Operations / Agribusiness.
  • 2 - 4 years' experience in sales, new business development and key account management in food commodity business
  • Food commodity experience is a must (cocoa, chocolate, confectionary are preferred but not a must)
  • Experience in the food ingredients /B2B sales network in the Food Industry will essential for the incumbent to be successful in this role.
  • The incumbent should have proven experience as a "self starter" with a strong element of dynamism and the ability to move fast and get things done.
  • Have a knack of commercial orientation with the ability to run the business independently.
  • Strategic thinking is critical to understand the global strategy and ensure we have a growth-oriented mindset.
  • Analytical skills. Ability to map the market trends and grow the business based on previous company business connections and predict market directions.
  • Make sure we are able to identify key value drivers for success
  • Have an ownership mindset and desire to run the show Independently.
  • Have excellent customer engagement, communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate with and influence a matrix of internal and external customers at varied levels.
