Your tasks

Planning and coordinating complex development tasks in a project to develop and implement the ground station (L2 system) for a highly complex military drone project

The position covers the role of System Engineer for the ground station of the drone system and includes the technical definition and coordination of development activities, the management of requirements, document creation, verifications, and verification of requirements with some complex aviation-specific components (DOA/DAL)

The main activities are in the areas of systems engineering and requirements engineering, as well as the coordination and technical management of the development engineers in the TCDGS2 team in close consultation with the CI Technical Lead and the Chief Engineer of the higher-level L1 system

The position involves defining and coordinating schedules, prioritizing and coordinating development work, monitoring the degree of fulfillment, and, in the event of deviations from the defining appropriate recovery measures. Measures and proposals for achieving the development goals must be coordinated with the senior Chief Engineer and the COC in Getafe and implemented. Development steps must be assessed and evaluated, and schedule, cost, and capacity plans must be reviewed and created

As part of development activities, priorities must be coordinated and interfaces with adjacent L2 systems defined and coordinated. Target/actual comparisons of development progress must be carried out continuously and corrective measures initiated if necessary. Support purchasing in the selection of suppliers and contract design. Provide technical support and control for external companies commissioned with development tasks

Carry out in-depth development tasks, e.g., (sub)systems with a large number of links. Design interfaces and new technologies, take functional, cost, weight, and installation aspects into account, have documentation and data sets created and evaluate them

Evaluate and coordinate constructive solutions.

Requirements:

• Degree in electrical engineering, engineering, aerospace, and mechanical engineering
• Very good knowledge of MS Office
• Knowledge of CAMEO and Siemens Capital is an advantage
• Business fluent German and English skills
• More than 5 years of experience in systems engineering and electrical and/or mechanical development required
• Knowledge of aviation standards is required
• Knowledge of MBSE (Model Based System Engineering) is an advantage
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently
