THE MAIN TASKS & RESPONSABILITIES

In this key strategic role, the Finance & Business Control Manager acts as a co-pilot to the Managing Director/Production Unit Manager, overseeing all local finance and business control activities. This role requires providing critical financial insights and demonstrating strong business acumen.

The Finance & Business Control Manager will lead and manage all aspects of controlling, accounting, reporting, internal control, fiduciary responsibilities, treasury, and tax matters. The goal is to sustainably optimize business performance and financial position, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information and compliance with regulatory requirements. This position supports strategic decision-making through comprehensive financial analysis and effective business control activities.

THE IDEAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATION PROFILE

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven experience in managing finance consolidation activities and business control in a manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive experience in dealing with auditors and in the preparation of annual financial statements.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of finance, accounting, tax, and treasury principles and regulations.
  • Comprehensive further training in the field of taxation, IFRS and HGB financial statements.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
