Join us as a Legal Intern to support our German legal operations and help manage the legal workload in Germany, Qonto's second largest market. You'll work directly with our German legal counsel on litigation research, contract management, and document localization to ensure efficient legal processes across our growing German operations.

As a Legal Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge legal tech tools while supporting critical legal functions that protect and enable Qonto's business growth. You'll work closely with Sergej Peter Braun, our German Legal Counsel, who will mentor you through diverse legal challenges in the fast-paced fintech environment.

As a Legal Intern at Qonto, you will

• Conduct litigation research and gather case facts using internal tools and legal databases to support ongoing legal proceedings
• Manage contract lifecycle data entry and support document localization between German and French legal frameworks
• Draft responses to legal claims for our customer care team under supervision, ensuring accuracy and appropriate tone
• Communicate with external lawyers and coordinate case information to support litigation preparation
• Provide legal support to internal teams including risk management and customer care, translating complex legal concepts into business-friendly guidance

This is a 6-month paid internship starting December 2025, based in Berlin or Paris, with a certificate provided upon completion.

About Your Future Manager
Sergej Peter Braun, our German Legal Counsel, acts as the general counsel for Germany and brings deep expertise in German commercial law and fintech regulations. He values tech-savviness and proactive use of digital resources, providing guidance on complex legal tasks while encouraging innovation in legal processes. Sergej will support your professional development by exposing you to high-level legal work and external lawyer interactions, helping you build practical skills that will serve your legal career.

About You

• You must have native-level German or exceptionally high proficiency, as you'll be handling complex legal documentation and communicating with German courts and external counsel
• You're currently studying German law or have training in German legal concepts with solid understanding of the German legal system
• You have strong understanding of legal research methodologies and can navigate legal databases to find accurate, relevant information
• You're comfortable with digital tools and eager to use AI and legal tech platforms to enhance your research and document management efficiency
• You can explain complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal audiences and work effectively under supervision with both internal teams and external lawyers
