The Team

A&M's Global Transaction Advisory Group ("TAG") is the largest transaction advisory practice outside the Big 4 audit firms. We work for premium clients on high-profile deals, including large and mid-cap private equity, fast-growth premium small-cap deals, multinational corporates, and LBOs. Joining the European Transaction Advisory team means working on exciting and impactful projects across Germany, Europe, and globally. You will collaborate with experienced professionals, including our Managing Directors, and gain exposure to a variety of sectors and industries. This is an opportunity to grow professionally in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment while contributing to high-profile transactions.

How you will contribute

As a Senior Director (m/f/d), you will manage the following key responsibilities, supported by the European Transaction Advisory team:

  • Lead teams and work on multiple Transaction Advisory engagements in Germany, across Europe, and globally, working closely with our Managing Directors.
  • Gain constant exposure to our Managing Directors, leveraging their substantial deal experience, and be proactively involved in commercial, business development, and marketing activities.
  • Use the commercial aspects of your financial analysis skills, in addition to gaining exposure to the key drivers and valuation considerations which drive a transaction.
  • Work alongside operational and commercial professionals in combined project teams, enhancing your understanding of the broader due diligence and wider deal process.
  • Network internally with our service lines and work on external marketing events to build cross-service line relationships.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading Transaction Advisory (Financial Due Diligence) projects across a variety of sectors, ideally at a Big 4 audit firm.
  • Strong academic record and a degree from a leading university or equivalent.
  • Well-developed stakeholder management skills, including managing key client relationships and networking/business development.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Native or fluent German and English are essential. Additional language skills are highly advantageous.
  • Highly ambitious and motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset, deep functional knowledge and insight, a blend of operational and commercial skills, and an entrepreneurial approach.
