Key Responsibilities Of The Role

  • Preparing and assigning work schedules to the mechanical team and subcontractors
  • Plan and schedule daily work.
  • Supervising and motivating team members
  • Ensuring proper handling of mechanical materials and equipment during the installation stages
  • Maintaining safety standards and adhering to mechanical codes and permits to work.
  • Supervision of the installing all the mechanical equipment that will install in the site, like chillers, AHU, pumps or any other mechanical systems
  • Experience with HVAC, cooling system, firefighting, plumbing
  • Experience with Data Centre redundancy connection
  • Control and keep track of scope changes, engineering changes and any other changes, non-conformities and technical queries
  • Reviewing work procedures, method statement and suggesting improvement measures
  • Coordinate with the different contractors the execution of the works, interferences and daily follow-up.
  • Hiring, training, and evaluating performances of new employees.
  • Coordinating with on-site personnel from the different departments (civil, electrical) to ensure proper workflow and avoid clashes
  • Supervising on-site mechanical operations and reporting any major issues to the senior management
  • Coordinating with the on-site Mechanical Engineer/Mechanical Lead to review any design requirements
  • Providing moral and technical support when needed

Essential Criteria For The Role

  • Diploma Mechanical Engineer or Industrial Engineer experience is required.
  • 10+ years' experience in similar role
  • Data Centre previous experience required
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent negotiation, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Proficient in use of systems software related to Engineering functions
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritise
  • Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English
  • Ability to work on own initiative

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten Der Stelle

  • Erstellung und Zuweisung von Arbeitsplänen an das Mechanikerteam und die Subunternehmer
  • Planen und strukturieren Sie Ihre tägliche Arbeit.
  • Teammitglieder betreuen und motivieren
  • Sicherstellung der ordnungsgemäßen Handhabung von mechanischen Materialien und Geräten während der Installationsphasen
  • Einhaltung der Sicherheitsstandards und der mechanischen Vorschriften sowie der Arbeitsgenehmigungen.
  • Überwachung der Installation aller mechanischen Ausrüstungen, die auf dem Gelände installiert werden sollen, wie z. B. Kältemaschinen, Lüftungsanlagen, Pumpen oder andere mechanische Systeme.
  • Erfahrung mit Heizungs-, Lüftungs- und Klimaanlagen, Kühlsystemen, Brandschutz und Sanitärinstallationen
  • Erfahrung mit redundanten Rechenzentrumsverbindungen
  • Änderungen des Projektumfangs, technische Änderungen und sonstige Änderungen, Abweichungen und technische Anfragen kontrollieren und nachverfolgen.
  • Überprüfung von Arbeitsabläufen und Arbeitsmethoden sowie Vorschläge für Verbesserungsmaßnahmen
  • Die Ausführung der Arbeiten, Störungen und die tägliche Nachverfolgung mit den verschiedenen Auftragnehmern koordinieren.
  • Einstellung, Schulung und Leistungsbeurteilung neuer Mitarbeiter.
  • Abstimmung mit dem Personal vor Ort aus den verschiedenen Abteilungen (Bauwesen, Elektrotechnik), um einen reibungslosen Arbeitsablauf zu gewährleisten und Konflikte zu vermeiden.
  • Überwachung der mechanischen Betriebsabläufe vor Ort und Meldung aller größeren Probleme an die Geschäftsleitung.
  • Abstimmung mit dem vor Ort tätigen Maschinenbauingenieur/Maschinenbauleiter zur Überprüfung aller Konstruktionsanforderungen
  • Moralische und technische Unterstützung leisten, wenn nötig

Wesentliche Kriterien Für Die Stelle

  • Ein abgeschlossenes Studium im Bereich Maschinenbau oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation mit Berufserfahrung ist erforderlich.
  • Mehr als 10 Jahre Erfahrung in einer vergleichbaren Position
  • Vorkenntnisse im Rechenzentrumswesen erforderlich
  • Ausgezeichnete Organisations- und Planungsfähigkeiten
  • Fähigkeit zur Teamarbeit
  • Hervorragende Verhandlungs-, Problemlösungs- und Entscheidungsfähigkeiten
  • Kompetent im Umgang mit Systemsoftware im Zusammenhang mit technischen Funktionen
