We are seeking a highly motivated Engineering Intern to support the development of cockpit mechanisms across key interior domains: Center Console, Instrument Panel, Doors, and Overhead Console. This internship offers hands-on experience in the design, validation, and integration of mechanical systems within the vehicle interior, contributing to the next generation of user-centric automotive experiences.

Your Role

• Support the design and packaging of mechanical components and sub-systems for cockpit areas.
• Assist in benchmarking and teardown analysis of competitor vehicles to identify best practices and innovation opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Electronics, Manufacturing, and Suppliers) to ensure feasibility and integration of mechanisms.
• Participate in prototype builds and validation testing, including fit & finish, kinematics, and robustness assessments.
• Document engineering solutions and present findings to the broader team.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a master's degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Prior internship or project experience with a Tier 1 supplier or OEM is strongly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, NX, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for automotive design and user-focused innovation.
• Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous internship or project experience in automotive or consumer product development.
• Familiarity with vehicle packaging, materials, and manufacturing processes.
