Senior Software Project Manager – Cybersecurity Lead

GERSTEL GmbH & Co. KG is an internationally active, medium-sized, family-owned technology com-pany. With around 250 employees, we develop, produce, and market high-quality automated analy-sis systems for instrumental chemical analysis. We are expanding and, to strengthen our team in the Research and Development department and as part of long-term succession planning at the com-pany's headquarters in Mülheim an der Ruhr, we are looking to fill the following position as soon as possible:
Senior Software Project Manager – Cybersecurity Lead
Your Responsibilities:
- Leading internal & external software teams in the planning and execution of SW development projects and third-party SW integrations.
- Overseeing and leading cybersecurity initiatives and develop strategies to prevent breaches and ensure security policies are followed.
Your Qualifications:
- BS degree with 10+ years of work experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in software development, with a track record of suc-cessfully managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Stage Gate etc.).
- Project management professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g. JIRA, Trello, MS Project etc.).
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies (e.g. firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM).
- Excellent communication, leadership, multitasking and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with a willingness to support various facets of the business.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
