Job Description

Software shapes the world in so many ways and is becoming more and more important to define the future of health care. Become part of our Software Development Team in Bergisch Gladbach or Bielefeld and help us change people's lives for the better.

• Be a driving factor as part of one of our agile teams and help us improve and continually develop new functionalities for our medical devices, our analytics environment or our connectivity topics.
• Sharing is key: you will work with cross-functional teams including electronics, hardware, software and clinical experts.
• You will write clean, maintainable and scalable code in C++. In addition, you will develop user interfaces using Qt.
• By participating in software design, code and design reviews, you will ensure that our software meets the highest quality standards.
• Using your knowledge and experience, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our agile development processes.

Qualifications

• You have a degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Bioinformatics, Physics, Mathematics or a similar educational background.
• More over, you have a good understanding of hardware related software development. You also have extensive expertise and a deep passion of C++ (preferably modern, i.e. C++17 or newer).
• Deep knowledge of Qt would be a big plus as well as experience of developing software for medical devices or other regulated industries. In addition, you like to work in Linux ecosystems.
• You have excellent problem solving and communication skills (fluent English, German would be a plus) and an agile mindset that enables you to break down (system) requirements and (system) design into manageable increments and pieces.
• Your attitude, motivation and interest in becoming a member of our Miltenyi Team is key. Technical skills can always be learned.

This vacancy can be filled on a full-time and part-time basis (minimum 32 hours per week). Place of work is Bergisch Gladbach or Bielefeld. In addition to this Software Engineer role, we are open to candidates who bring expertise in adjacent areas like Software Testing, Project Management or Portfolio Leadership.
