Senior Project Developer - Berlin (On-site)

My Client is a renewable energy project developer, through sustainable investments and hands-on project development — currently active in Germany, Finland, and Canada.

Your Role

As a Project Developer (Solar/Wind/Battery Storage), you'll take charge of renewable energy projects from concept to construction readiness.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing solar, wind, and/or battery storage projects up to the construction phase.
  • Conducting site visits, building strong relationships, and negotiating agreements with landowners, tenants, municipalities, and local authorities.
  • Supporting and coordinating all permitting processes.
  • Establishing long-term, trust-based relationships with landowners and engaging with them as equals.
  • Presenting and promoting projects to municipal officials and political stakeholders.
  • Collaborating closely with our legal, communications, and external partners to prepare project documentation for permitting.

Your Profile

  • Completed technical or commercial degree/training — e.g. in energy technology, business administration, industrial engineering, renewable energy, or urban planning.
  • Ideally 5+ years of experience in PV and/or wind project development; initial experience with battery storage is a plus.
  • Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills and the ability to adapt to different stakeholders.
  • Fluent in German and comfortable working independently with a sense of ownership.
  • Familiar with common project management methods and proficient in MS Office; experience with project management tools is an advantage.
  • Organized, analytical, and a strong team player.
  • Class B driver's license and willingness to travel for site visits and meetings.
