Your Tasks

We are looking for a motivated IT System Specialist (m/f/d) to join our dedicated AIT team and support us in the implementation and maintenance of IT systems. These systems play a central role in supporting our satellite manufacturing and testing processes.

• Close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders to analyze requirements, develop suitable solutions, and gather feedback
• Active participation in improving existing systems
• Administration and maintenance of the AIT's central IT infrastructure with regard to IT security
• Integration and configuration of IT systems into new and existing infrastructures
• Planning and operation of IT systems to meet customer requirements
• Development of new network concepts
• Preparation of procurements in cooperation with the purchasing department for hardware and software components
• Support in the definition, development, and maintenance of processes, tools, facilities, and technologies
• Participation in the evaluation and assessment of new technologies
• Provision of IT technical support for AIT employees and troubleshooting
• Support for AIT Services, Remote Access Gateway, Remote Test Campaign Support, and AIT Mission Control Center
• Documentation of IT systems and processes

Your Qualifications

• Successfully completed training as an IT specialist, degree in computer science or comparable qualification
• Administration of Linux/Windows systems
• Good knowledge of networks and network security (e.g., LAN, WAN, firewalls)
• Knowledge of virtualization (servers and desktops)
• Ability to quickly and independently familiarize yourself with new tasks
• Independent and structured way of working
• Strong communication skills and enjoyment of working in a team
• Very good written and spoken English
