Department: Operations
Work Arrangement: Remote (Global)
Reports To: Partner
Company: Limitlessli – Remote Staffing & Workforce Solutions
Role Overview
The AI Strategy & Business Optimization Consultant will design, implement, and optimize AI-driven systems, workflows, and business processes across healthcare-related client accounts. This role requires hands-on experience within the healthcare sector, understanding of regulatory compliance (HIPAA, PHI handling), and strong familiarity with EHR/EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, etc.).
You will collaborate with internal teams, clients, and remote staff to architect AI solutions—including automation, process redesign, operational analytics, and intelligent workforce augmentation—while always ensuring security and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
AI Strategy & Implementation
- Develop and execute AI roadmaps for healthcare-client operations, focusing on automation, accuracy, and operational scalability.
- Identify opportunities to integrate AI tools into processes such as patient scheduling, medical coding support, RCM, eligibility verification, clinical documentation support, and population health workflows.
- Build and evaluate proof-of-concept AI solutions (chatbots, workflow automation, RPA, LLM-powered assistants, QA automations, etc.).
- Partner with engineering and client stakeholders to ensure smooth deployment of AI systems into EMR/EHR workflows.
Business Process Optimization
- Conduct workflow assessments to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities.
- Redesign business processes to improve speed, reduce cost, and enhance accuracy.
- Build KPI frameworks, operational dashboards, and performance benchmarks for healthcare teams.
- Standardize SOPs for remote teams interacting with sensitive medical data.
Healthcare Compliance & Security
- Ensure all AI tools and redesigned workflows meet HIPAA, HITECH, and organizational security standards.
- Perform risk assessments on data flows involving PHI/PII.
- Collaborate with the compliance team to maintain secure EMR/EHR access protocols for remote staff.
- Train internal teams and clients on compliance-aligned use of AI systems.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work with remote healthcare staffing teams to integrate AI-driven tools into daily operations.
- Advise executive leadership on AI trends within the healthcare industry and remote workforce space.
- Translate technical AI concepts into clear business impacts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Guide clients through change management related to new workflows and technology adoption.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in administrative, clinical operations, RCM, medical coding, or health information management.
- Deep understanding of HIPAA, HITECH, PHI handling, and healthcare data privacy regulations.
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, eCW, NextGen).
- Proven experience designing or implementing AI, automation, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong background in workflow mapping, process improvement, and operational redesign.
- Ability to analyze data and build optimization strategies using AI and non-AI solutions.
- Experience implementing automation tools (LLM assistants, RPA, workflow orchestration, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with cross-functional and remote teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a healthcare staffing, BPO, or remote workforce environment.
- Familiarity with LLM/AI prompt engineering and enterprise AI platforms.
- Certifications in process improvement (Lean Six Sigma, PMP, etc.).
- Prior experience in integrating AI tools within HIPAA-sensitive environments.
- Understanding of medical billing and coding workflows (CPC, CRC, CCS certifications are a plus).
Key Traits for Success
- Strong ethical judgment and understanding of data privacy obligations.
- Systems-thinking mindset with the ability to connect operations, technology, and workforce strategy.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, technology-driven environment.
- Proactive problem solver with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
