About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Customs Clearance Specialist (m/f/d) - Import & Export (Part-time, 20-30h/week) to join our team. In this position, you will support import and export operations, manage customs procedures, and ensure that all shipments are processed efficiently and in full compliance with international trade regulations.

Your tasks

• Provide accurate information for import and export declarations and verify all related documentation.
• Handle customs clearance processes efficiently and ensure compliance with all applicable trade regulations.
• Execute daily shipment operations within the assigned region.
• Learn all aspects of import and export procedures.
• Take responsibility for customs declarations using the ATLAS system after a short training period.
• Communicate with logistics partners and authorities, handling complaints when necessary.

Your qualifications

• Apprenticeship (Ausbildung) as a Speditionskaufmann*frau, Groß- und Außenhandelskaufmann*frau, Industriekaufmann*frau, or a degree in business administration, logistics management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in supply chain, logistics, freight forwarding, or a related field; experience importing goods from China to Europe is a strong plus.
• Solid knowledge of import/export regulations and trade compliance; knowledge of the ATLAS customs system is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken; good German skills are important. Additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in an intercultural team and handle unforeseen circumstances.
