About the Venue

Rhubarb are excited to announce the incredible news of our upcoming venture at the stunning waterfront of Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier – introducing the spectacular Elemente Restaurant and AirBar 13

Located within the Westfield development on the riverbanks of the Elbe, Elemente will be the first of its kind - an enchanting South American Restaurant & Bar. Inspired by fire, water, wind, and earth, it's a tribute to nature. Additionally, on the 13th floor of the adjacent building RHC will launch Air Bar 13 with a 360-degree panoramic views of the Elbe, the port, HafenCity, and Hamburg's city centre.

Rhubarb will create a culinary journey through South America, where fresh ingredients and bold flavours harmonise. The interior design embraces nature's aesthetic with abundant plants, creating a captivating dining experience.

Role Purpose

We're looking for a capable and organized finance professional to join our team in a role that truly keeps things running smoothly. This is a varied position where you'll work across accounts, controlling, analysis and systems – perfect if you enjoy diversity in your work and want to be genuinely involved in how the business operates day-to-day.

You'll be the vital link between our local operations and head office, making sure financial information flows smoothly, reports are accurate, and any issues get sorted quickly. If you like being hands-on, working with different teams, and knowing that what you do makes a real difference, this could be ideal for you.

What You'll Be Working On

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Be the friendly go-to person for our Head Office AP team when they have questions about invoices, payments or reminders
• Handle accounts receivable for events and deposits
• Sort out payment hiccups when they happen
• Process refund requests (duplicate payments, incorrect amounts, that sort of thing)

Food & Beverage Financial Control

This is a really hands-on part of the role where you'll work closely with our F&B operations:

• Manage F&B invoicing and make sure everything gets to the right place for processing
• Keep cost control procedures sharp and effective across all F&B operations
• Monitor stock levels and flag up anything that doesn't look right
• Partner with the F&B team to analyze costs and spot savings opportunities
• Help develop and implement cost-reduction strategies
• Oversee transfers and purchases across outlets
• Keep supplier price lists current and track price changes
• Match up deposit reports with shift reports and cash drops
• Support cash flow management
• Do periodic checks of cash floats and maintain records

Labour Cost Management

• Create and maintain systems to monitor labour costs across all departments
• Analyze fixed and variable labour expenses against budgets
• Prepare labour cost reports and forecasts to help management make informed decisions

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Provide timely financial reports and flash reports for management
• Analyze overall business unit performance and spot trends

EPOS Systems

• Oversee our point-of-sale systems – configuration and maintenance
• Make sure pricing, costings and inventory data are accurate
• Troubleshoot any POS issues and help get things working smoothly again

Additional Responsibilities

• Be a point of contact during audits and gather necessary information
• Take on other reasonable duties as needed – we're a dynamic environment where flexibility matters

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Solid experience in finance operations, ideally covering accounts payable/receivable and controlling
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working with financial systems and EPOS platforms
• Good analytical abilities – you can spot patterns and identify issues
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills – you'll be liaising with various teams and head office
• Proactive problem-solver who takes initiative
• Team player who also works well independently

Desirable:

• Experience in hospitality, entertainment venues or F&B operations
• Knowledge of inventory management and cost control
• Familiarity with German accounting standards and practices

Kreditorenbuchhaltung & Debitorenbuchhaltung

• Seien Sie die freundliche Ansprechperson für unser Kreditorenbuchhaltungs-Team der Zentrale bei Fragen zu Rechnungen, Zahlungen oder Mahnungen
• Bearbeiten Sie die Debitorenbuchhaltung für Veranstaltungen und Kautionen
• Lösen Sie Zahlungsprobleme, wenn sie auftreten
• Bearbeiten Sie Rückerstattungsanträge (Doppelzahlungen, falsche Beträge und dergleichen)

Food & Beverage Finanzkontrolle

Dies ist ein sehr praxisnaher Teil der Rolle, in dem Sie eng mit unseren F&B-Operationen zusammenarbeiten:

• Verwalten Sie F&B-Rechnungsstellung und stellen Sie sicher, dass alles an die richtige Stelle zur Bearbeitung gelangt
• Halten Sie Kostenkontrollverfahren über alle F&B-Bereiche hinweg scharf und effektiv
• Überwachen Sie Lagerbestände und melden Sie alles, was nicht richtig aussieht
• Arbeiten Sie mit dem F&B-Team zusammen, um Kosten zu analysieren und Einsparmöglichkeiten zu erkennen
• Helfen Sie bei der Entwicklung und Umsetzung von Kostenreduzierungsstrategien
• Überwachen Sie Transfers und Einkäufe in allen Outlets
• Halten Sie Lieferantenpreislisten aktuell und verfolgen Sie Preisänderungen
• Gleichen Sie Kautionsberichte mit Schichtberichten und Kasseneinlagen ab
• Unterstützen Sie das Cash-Flow-Management
• Führen Sie regelmäßige Kontrollen der Kassenwechselgelder durch und führen Sie Aufzeichnungen

Personalkostenmanagement

• Erstellen und pflegen Sie Systeme zur Überwachung der Personalkosten in allen Abteilungen
• Analysieren Sie fixe und variable Personalkosten im Vergleich zu Budgets
• Erstellen Sie Personalkostenberichte und Prognosen, um dem Management fundierte Entscheidungen zu ermöglichen

Finanzanalyse & Berichtswesen

• Liefern Sie zeitnahe Finanzberichte und Flash-Reports für das Management

EPOS-Systeme
