SEO & GEO Manager (f/m/d)

Contentful is seeking an SEO & GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) Strategist to lead the next evolution of our SEO program—one designed for performance across both traditional search engines and emerging generative platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini. You'll own the strategy, ideation, and execution of high-impact mid-to-bottom-funnel content that drives meaningful traffic, supports pipeline generation, and positions Contentful as a leader in digital experiences. This role is pivotal to growing our organic presence and aligning content with modern discovery behavior to drive impactful performance.

• Help to evolve an SEO-led content program built to earn visibility in both organic search engine results and generative AI engine results.
• Play a key role in redefining how Contentful shows up across AI-powered discovery platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity.
• Develop and manage a data-driven editorial calendar aligned to business priorities and targeting audience needs throughout each stage of the buyer journey.
• Champion a data-driven approach to discover emerging trends, analyze competitor strategies, and identify content opportunities.
• Continuously audit and improve new and existing content, optimizing for both SEO and GEO key performance indicators.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external contributors to build content that resonates and converts.
• Develop strategic, data-informed briefs for internal and external creators that reflect brand voice, audience needs, and performance goals.
• Share insights and opportunities, raise visibility of content impact, and celebrate content success with key stakeholders.
• Help support the broader SEO function with day-to-day program execution.

• 4+ years of experience in SEO and content strategy, ideally in a B2B or SaaS environment and bonus if with technical or product-led content .
• A proven ability to develop content for SEO, using keywords to drive meaningful impact.
• Deep understanding of search intent, keyword strategy, and funnel-aligned content planning.
• Familiarity with GEO and how GenAI platforms index, synthesize, and surface content.
• Mastery of SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console) and comfort navigating analytics platforms (GA4, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
• Experience managing content production workflows and working with internal stakeholders and external writers.
• A team-first mindset, excited to collaborate across departments and support a fast-moving, high-impact marketing function.
• You know your way around a CMS with your eyes closed; experience with Contentful, a DXP, or any headless CMS is a plus.
