Data Migration Manager – SAP S/4HANA (DATEV → S/4H Cloud)

to lead a critical migration from
DATEV Rechnungswesen
to
SAP S/4H Cloud
, supporting a high-profile transformation programme.

This is an opportunity to take full ownership of master and transactional data migration—ensuring completeness, accuracy, and stakeholder confidence throughout every migration cycle.

What You'll Do

As the Data Migration Manager, you will take the lead across all key stages of data migration, including:

End-to-end data preparation and validation

  • Capture required master and transactional datasets.
  • Prepare data loads in bespoke, project-specific formats.
  • Ensure all data is thoroughly validated, accurate, and ready for import.

Close collaboration with project teams

  • Work closely with project, finance, and technical teams to identify and resolve issues.
  • Maintain a detailed issue log and drive swift resolutions.

Stakeholder coordination and sign-off

  • Organise data load reviews, manage stakeholder alignment, and secure formal sign-off for each data cycle.

Support a successful S/4H Cloud implementation

  • Deliver clean, complete, and trusted datasets for all master and transactional categories, including vendors, customers, assets, bank data, AP/AR open items, GL balances, and open item management.

What You'll Deliver

  • Fully validated master and transactional datasets
  • Data load files in the required bespoke formats
  • A comprehensive import issue log
  • Final sign-off documentation for each migration cycle

What We're Looking For

Experience and Expertise

  • At least 5 years of hands-on data migration experience, ideally in large-scale ERP or transformation environments
  • Strong background managing full lifecycle data migrations
  • Excellent understanding of financial and business processes (RTR, PTP, OTC)

Technical Skills

  • Deep experience with SAP S/4HANA and DATEV Rechnungswesen
  • Strong command of data transfer, cleansing, validation, and interface requirements
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex analysis, pivot tables, and working with large datasets

Communication and Language

  • Fluent German and English (written and spoken)
  • Able to communicate clearly with finance teams, technical teams, and senior stakeholders
