Founders Associate

Flexa enables the renewable energy transition by revolutionizing how residential energy systems interact with the grid. Through intelligent real-time optimization, we turn decentralized assets like batteries, heat pumps, and EVs into one unified energy network, creating the backbone of a smarter, more resilient, and fully renewable energy system. As a Founders Associate, you will work side by side with the founders on strategic and communication topics - gaining deep exposure across business, product, and marketing while helping turn complex ideas into clear, actionable narratives.

You will be involved in a broad range of strategic topics and take ownership of projects that drive Flexa's growth, clarity, and visibility - both internally and externally.

• Strategic Projects: Work directly with the founding team on high-impact projects across business, product, and operations. You'll dive deep into new initiatives, structure complex problems, and help translate insights into action.
• Operating Model: Identify and execute projects that improve how Flexa operates, from internal processes and documentation to cross-functional alignment and communication structures.
• Brand & External Communication: Help Flexa become one of the most meaningful and trusted energy brands in Europe. Build and amplify our public narrative, shaping how we communicate with customers, partners, investors, and the broader energy ecosystem
• Internal Communications & Culture: Create clarity and alignment across teams. Drive initiatives that strengthen internal communication, transparency, and cultural cohesion as Flexa scales.

• Entrepreneurial mindset: You are hands-on, proactive, and thrive in fast-moving environments. You take ownership and deliver results without waiting for direction.
• Analytical excellence: Strong problem-solving and quantitative skills, paired with high diligence and attention to detail.
• Tech & systems thinking: You view technology as an enabler for customer value. You're comfortable working with data and translating insights between business and technical teams.
• Relevant experience: Previous experience in top-tier strategy consulting, investment banking, venture capital, or a fast-growing startup, ideally in energy, sustainability, or technology.
• Marketing & growth exposure: Prior experience in brand, communications, or expansion projects within a hyper-scale environment is a strong plus.
• Education: Outstanding academic track record with a degree in business, marketing, engineering, economics, or a related field.
• Communication skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication; you can distill complex topics into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences.

I'm Fabian, a Co-Founder at Flexa. My passion for the energy transition began early, during my first internship at a wind farm contractor when I was just 16. Watching those massive turbines rise from the ground was a moment of awe that still resonates with me. After starting a few of my own ventures and completing my studies in Finance, I transitioned into the consulting industry, where I eagerly immersed myself in energy projects. From that point on, I was hooked.

Building Flexa is both a tremendous motivator and a significant responsibility for me. It's an incredible opportunity to work on some of the most complex and critical challenges our society faces today, alongside a team of exceptionally talented individuals.
