VHDL Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Kiel for an Engineer. The Engineer will be responsible for the development, testing, and optimization of reconfigurable computing (RC) and high-performance computing (HPC) systems. Day-to-day tasks include designing FPGA-based modules, troubleshooting and maintaining hardware, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the systems meet performance and reliability standards. The Engineer will also assist in providing custom hardware and algorithm optimization services.

Qualifications

• Experience in FPGA development and high-performance computing systems
• Skills in hardware design, testing, and optimization
• Proficiency with development tools for RC and HPC applications
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot hardware issues
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Experience in algorithm optimization is beneficial
• Prior experience in scientific and engineering computation is a plus
