Job Description:

The Private Bank combines Deutsche Bank's private clients business in Germany and its international business with private and commercial clients together with Wealth Management in a single division.

In both the domestic German market and worldwide the Private Bank provides high-quality advice to over 20 million clients and a broad range of financial services in 19 countries – ranging from day-to-day banking services right through to advisory services for sophisticated Wealth Management clients. In Italy, Spain, Belgium and India the Private Bank offers its services to corporate clients as well as small and medium-sized enterprises.

Your key responsibilities
  • AI Strategy & Roadmap: Define and lead the Private Bank's AI strategy, aligning initiatives with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and long-term digital transformation goals
  • Innovation & Use Cases: Drive the identification, impact sizing, development, and deployment of AI solutions across key areas such as customer experience and services, KYC and operational efficiency
  • Delivery oversight and governance: Oversee together with Technology and Group functions the development of scalable AI solutions
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with business, technology, and risk leaders to embed AI across departments, fostering adoption and measurable value creation
  • Talent & Capability Building: Build and lead a high-performing AI team, nurture internal expertise, and promote a culture of responsible AI innovation
Your skills and experiences
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field. A combination of business and technical expertise is highly desirable
  • Proven experience leading AI/ML initiatives at scale, ideally within banking or other highly regulated industries
  • Strong understanding of financial services operations and regulations, including risk management, fraud prevention, KYC, channel strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to translate AI capabilities into business value and shape investment cases at executive level
  • Knowledge of machine learning, NLP and emerging AI technologies
  • Deep awareness of regulatory and ethical AI considerations around AI, including model risk management, explainability, and data privacy requirements (e.g., GDPR)
  • Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience building high-performing teams and fostering cross functional collaboration
  • Excellent strategic and communication skills, capable of engaging both technical teams and senior management
  • Fluent in English and German
