The Opportunity

Join SourcePilot to support the founding members in driving the adoption of the solution on the

German market

. You'll be on the front lines of our growth, connecting with engineering leaders at German SMEs and introducing them to cutting-edge AI technology that's transforming how products are developed. This is a unique opportunity to gain real-world B2B sales experience with a high-growth tech startup while completing your studies.

What You'll Do
Core Responsibilities

  • Pre-qualify Potential Customers:

With your expertise in mechanical engineering, identify the best fits from our initial database of targeted German SME companies employees) and

keep on adding other pre-qualified leads to the database
- Qualify Prospects:

Call and engage decision-makers (engineering managers, product managers and technical leaders) to understand their current product development challenges and pain points
- Book Qualified Demos:

Schedule product demonstrations for our sales team with genuinely interested prospects
- CRM Management:

Maintain accurate records of all conversations, follow-ups, and prospect information in our CRM system
- Market Intelligence:

Gather insights about customer needs, competitive landscape, and industry trends
- Collaboration:

Work closely with our sales and product teams to refine messaging and targeting strategies

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled

at a German technical university (TU München, RWTH Aachen, KIT, TU Berlin, TU Dresden, FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, OTH Regensburg, or similar)
- Field of study:

Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial), Computer Science, Business Engineering, or related technical fields
- Native or fluent German

speaker with excellent communication skills
- Professional English

proficiency (our internal team language)
- Available 15-20 hours per week

with flexible scheduling around your classes
- Legally authorized

to work in Germany as a student (Werkstudent status)

Interest in engineering, manufacturing, and AI / technology

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience from engineering companies and/or in sales, customer service, or business development
  • Understanding of product development processes or PLM systems
  • Familiarity with manufacturing or hardware development
  • Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Participation in student consulting organizations (e.g., MTP, Junior Enterprises)

Typical Week Structure

Monday-Friday hours total):

  • Calling blocks:

2-3 hour focused calling sessions (typically mornings or early afternoons)
- Follow-ups:

Email and LinkedIn outreach to prospects
- Team sync:

Weekly team meeting for training, strategy, and knowledge sharing
- CRM updates:

Daily logging of activities and prospect information
- Learning:

Regular training sessions on product, industry, and sales techniques
