As a
Senior Director of Data Science
, you will lead a multidisciplinary organization of
data scientists, data engineers and analysts
who partner deeply with product and engineering teams to drive measurable business impact. Your mission is to elevate how data, experimentation, and machine learning power our products and decisions - focusing on all aspects of
personalization and search
for the consumer product organization.

What you'll do: The Recipe

• Define the Strategy: Set and execute the holistic data science and data engineering strategy, aligning model innovation with consumer product objectives and company goals, specifically focusing on all aspects of personalization and search.
• Lead the Organization: Build and lead a multidisciplinary organization (Data Engineering, Product Analytics, Data Scientists/ML Engineers).
• Drive Personalization: Define and execute the strategy for smart personalization, including ranking, recommendations, and behavioral analysis to maximize customer-facing impact and order rate for both subscribers and non-subscribers.
• Ensure Productionization: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of ML models, pipelines, and data products, ensuring the team moves models from development to reliable, scalable production with strong ML Ops and feedback loops.
• Champion the Culture: Embed a data-first and experimentation-driven culture across product teams, supporting discovery and decision-making with causal inference, advanced analytics, and ensuring data quality and governance.
• Lead Cross-Functionally: Act as a credible voice with executive stakeholders, clearly communicating the impact of data initiatives and ensuring KPI alignment with business outcomes, not just model performance.

What you'll bring: The Ingredients

• 10+ years of experience in Data Science or ML, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams (data science, data engineering, ML).
• Good understanding of modern data architectures, cloud-based ML platforms, and experimentation systems.
• Experience integrating data science into product engineering organizations (e.g., through embedded roles or hybrid models).
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence senior product and business leaders.
• Track record of delivering production-grade ML models and measurable product impact.
• Familiarity with GenAI applications and LLM-based product features.

Nice To Have

• Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, or consumer tech environments.
• Background in both data science research and engineering best practices (CI/CD for data, data observability, etc.).
