Overview

Quintauris is looking for a 
CPU Architect
 to lead the definition of embedded-class processor requirements. You'll define ISA and memory profiles, capture integration needs, and guide platform-level specifications that shape IP selection and ecosystem partnerships.

This role focuses on 
specification and qualification, not IP design
, and sits at the intersection of technology, standards, and strategy.

Your Responsibilities

  • Define ISA subsets, privilege models, and memory system requirements for embedded-class CPUs
  • Represent Quintauris in RISC-V International working groups
  • Capture and prioritise requirements with shareholders and partners
  • Define qualification criteria for CPU IP and integration
  • Collaborate with software, verification, and performance teams
  • Produce clear, standards-aligned specifications

Your Background

  • 8+ years in CPU architecture, embedded systems, or SoC definition
  • Strong understanding of RISC-V ISA and compliance processes
  • Knowledge of memory and interrupt architectures
  • Experience in standardisation and cross-company collaboration
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and consensus-building skills
