IAS is looking for a freelance Automotive Technical Trainer to lay the foundation for the very first IAS Maxus Training Center in central Germany (Kassel region).

Important to know: the training center is a longer-term project for Maxus. In the first phase, your focus will be on developing and delivering training yourself. Once the foundation is strong, we will expand together and build the full training center facilities. That's when you can evolve into a coordinating role, guiding the next phase of growth.

You won't be alone. You'll be part of a supportive network: peers at IAS in Belgium, and dedicated contacts at Maxus in Germany.

This presents a significant challenge for an entrepreneurial and hands-on individual, but with the reassurance of strong support from two experienced teams.

What you'll be doing:

• Setting up and preparing the training center (long-term)

• Designing training programs: from entry-level modules to advanced technical courses

• Delivering training yourself: frequently and enthusiastically, both complex subjects and basic introductions

• Coordinating operations: from planning to facilities and logistics

• Collaborating with peers at IAS Belgium and Maxus Germany

• Innovating training methods: contribute to creative, high-quality learning programs

A typical week might look like this:

• Monday: Develop and refine modules, prepare training materials, and organize the training space

• Tuesday–Thursday: Deliver interactive training, from basics to advanced sessions

• Friday: Gather feedback, coach participants, and review plans for upcoming sessions

Why this role fits you:

• Proven experience as a technical trainer in the automotive sector

• Fluent in German (must), and fluent in English; Dutch is a plus

• Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and energized by giving training yourself

• Strong technical knowledge combined with excellent teaching skills

• Comfortable switching between complex deep-dive sessions and fundamental entry-level training
