*Job Description Summary*For GE Vernova Grid Solutions, Offshore HVDC represents a key differentiating technology and a central focus for the business, particularly in Europe where Transmission System Operators have very ambitious renewable energy targets. In that context and for Germany, Grid Solutions is partnering with TenneT and 50 Hertz, which plans to invest more than $30B by 2030 in deploying new HVDC converter stations to bring Offshore Wind energy into Germany.As part of this initiative, Grid Solutions is seeking for a Project Engineer HVDC who will oversee and coordinate the equipment classifications and item designations as part of a portfolio of several mega HVDC projects in Germany (contracts value > $1B).Job DescriptionThe Project Engineer HVDC will coordinate the equipment classifications withGE Vernova Engineering departmentsGE Vernova supplying unitsmain contractorsCustomer counterpartand be directly responsible of work packages, including the delivery to the customer. The Project Engineer HVDC will report to the GE Vernova Grid Solutions GSI Central Europa Engineering Leader and Information Manager of HVDC 2GW German Portfolio.*Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities*Develop a strong knowledge and understanding of Item Designations standards (e.g. RDS-PP)Responsible for collection, processing and storage of item designations in compliance with the company standardsEnsuring and handling equipment / item register in a database and / or ExcelCollaborating with Engineering teams to align on data practices with project requirementsResponsible for handling asset register toolsManage entire data lifecycle from collection to disposal and archivalResponsible for maintaining comprehensive documentation of item designation processing activitiesCoordinate with Engineering and operations functions for the smooth functioning and implementation of Asset register and item designationCoordinate requirements, deliverables, and exchange processes with customer and suppliers*Required Qualifications*This role requires experience in the handling of equipment structuring, item designation creation and management of equipment of various engineering disciplines (e.g. Primary HV systems, LV systems, Electrical distribution systems, Automation systems)Storytelling and presentation of item designation process and solution to key contacts of customer and suppliers.Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma) and at least 2 years (full time job) of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).Proficient in Excel and other database management toolsStrong oral and written communication skills.
