About the Company

We are partnering with a global pharmaceutical company to appoint a Head of Medical Affairs DACH, a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and driving medical strategy across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This is a high-impact position leading the regional Medical Affairs organisation, with Germany as the primary market focus.

About the Role

  • Lead and develop the Medical Affairs organisation across the region
  • Define and execute the medical strategy in alignment with global and EMEA plans.
  • Drive scientific excellence, KOL engagement, and high-quality medical communication.
  • Oversee evidence generation activities (Phase IV, RWE, IIS) and support clinical trial recruitment.
  • Partner closely with Commercial, Regulatory, and Market Access teams on strategic initiatives and launch readiness.
  • Ensure all activities meet EFPIA/AKG and national compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • MD Required
  • 10+ years in Medical Affairs, including experience as a Senior Medical Affairs Director or similar
  • Leadership experience in the DACH region, with strong focus on Germany
  • Proven track record leading high-performing medical teams
  • Strong understanding of the German healthcare, regulatory, and market landscape
  • Business-fluent German + fluent English
  • Therapeutic area flexibility, a range of TA backgrounds will be considered
