Role Overview

We are expanding our new Robotics Team and are looking for a highly skilled Robotics Engineer to help develop and deliver advanced robotic and automation solutions. You will work on proprietary robotics projects while supporting customer-facing robotics services delivered on demand. This is a hands-on, on-site role based in Mannheim, with responsibility and ownership across design, development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and implement robotic systems to enhance industrial manufacturing processes
• Program, integrate, and test robotic applications (from prototype to production)
• Analyze system performance and improve reliability, cycle time, precision, and robustness
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and drive root-cause resolution
• Develop automation concepts and scalable solutions tailored to customer requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, engineering, project management) and communicate clearly with stakeholders
• Contribute to documentation, best practices, and technical standards within the Robotics Team

What we're looking for

• 3–5+ years of professional experience
  in robotics, automation, or a closely related field
• Strong technical foundation in robotics software development (e.g.,
  Python/C++
  or comparable languages)
• Solid analytical skills and a structured approach to debugging and performance optimization
• Practical experience with modern robotics areas such as (examples):
• robotic integration and industrial automation
• perception / sensors (e.g., cameras, 3D vision, LiDAR)
• motion planning / control, calibration, and commissioning
• simulation, testing, and deployment in real-world environments
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented, hands-on mindset
• Degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline

Nice to have

• Experience in industrial manufacturing workflows and production environments
• Familiarity with industrial robots, PLC environments, safety concepts, and system integration
• Experience delivering engineering solutions directly to customers

Für den Aufbau unseres neuen Robotik-Teams suchen wir einen hochqualifizierten Robotikingenieur (m/w/d), der die Entwicklung und Umsetzung moderner Robotik- und Automatisierungslösungen aktiv vorantreibt. Du arbeitest an proprietären Robotikprojekten und unterstützt gleichzeitig unsere
kundenspezifischen Robotik-Services
, die von Kunden
bedarfsgerecht (on demand)
beauftragt werden. Die Position ist
Vollzeit und vor Ort in Mannheim
und bietet viel Verantwortung sowie Gestaltungsspielraum.

Deine Aufgaben

• Entwicklung, Auslegung und Implementierung robotischer Systeme zur Optimierung industrieller Fertigungsprozesse
• Programmierung, Integration und Test von Robotik-Anwendungen (von Prototyp bis Produktion)
• Analyse und Verbesserung von Performance, Zuverlässigkeit, Taktzeit und Prozessstabilität
• Fehlerdiagnose und Troubleshooting an Hard- und Software inkl. nachhaltiger Ursachenanalyse
• Ausarbeitung skalierbarer Automatisierungskonzepte entsprechend der Kundenanforderungen
• Zusammenarbeit mit interdisziplinären Teams (Fertigung, Qualität, Engineering, Projektmanagement) sowie klare Kommunikation mit Stakeholdern
• Mitgestaltung von Dokumentation, Standards und Best Practices im Robotik-Team

Dein Profil

• Mindestens 3–5 Jahre relevante Berufserfahrung
  in Robotik, Automatisierung oder einem verwandten Bereich
• Sehr gute Kenntnisse in der Robotik-Softwareentwicklung (z. B.
  Python/C++
  oder vergleichbar)
• Ausgeprägte analytische Fähigkeiten und strukturierte Arbeitsweise bei Debugging und Optimierung
• Praxiserfahrung in modernen Robotik-Themen, z. B.:
• Robotik-Integration und industrielle Automatisierung
• Wahrnehmung/Sensorik (z. B. Kamera, 3D-Vision, LiDAR)
• Bewegungsplanung/Regelung, Kalibrierung und Inbetriebnahme
• Simulation, Testing und Deployment in realen Umgebungen
• Sehr gute Kommunikationsfähigkeit, Teamgeist und Hands-on-Mentalität
• Abgeschlossenes Studium in Robotik, Mechatronik, Maschinenbau oder vergleichbar

Wünschenswert

• Erfahrung mit Fertigungsprozessen und Produktionsumgebungen
• Kenntnisse zu Industrierobotern, PLC-Umfeldern, Safety-Konzepten und Systemintegration
• Erfahrung in der direkten Umsetzung technischer Lösungen beim Kunden
